At 5:46 PM on Thursday, November 9th, Rescue Box 27-30 was dispatched for a one vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Orchard Road in Hilltown Township. The driver of the vehicle was reported to be alert, but unable to get out of the vehicle. Chief 59 from Silverdale Fire Company and Assistant 27 arrived on scene and were able to assist the driver out of the vehicle. Rescue 27, Engine 27, and Engine 59 stood by and awaited the arrival of PPL Electric to secure the wires. The driver was evaluated for injuries by Medic 108 and the incident is under investigation by the Hilltown Police Department. SFD fire police officers in Traffic 27 controlled vehicles and bystanders around the scene and the vehicle was removed from the location by Jerry’s Auto Body.
