At 5:06 PM on Thursday, February 24th, Wagon 27 was added to Tactical Box 59-06 to assist at an airplane crash in Silverdale’s coverage area within Hilltown Township. The incident occurred at Brittany and Victoria Lanes, in a residential neighborhood adjacent to Pennridge Central Middle School. Several minutes after the Wagon arrived, Hazmat 27 was added to the assignment to provide manpower and materials to contain a fuel spill from the plane. Traffic 27 also responded to assist with traffic and crowd control in the vicinity of the incident. SFD units operated for approximately 1.5 hours before being released from the scene.
