Just after 5:00 PM, Tower 27 was dispatched to assist Montgomery County Station 74 in the 100 block of Washington Avenue. The Tower was dispatched as a Rapid Intervention Team, to standby in case a firefighter gets lost, trapped, or needs assistance in the fire building. 30 minutes later, Engine 27 was also dispatched to the fire scene to provide additional manpower. SFD units operated on scene for over an hour before returning to our first due.
