On Thursday morning, at 6:12AM, Engine 27 was dispatched to assist Telford Fire Co at a vehicle fire in the southbound lanes of the Sellersville Bypass, south of State Road. Montgomery Chief 75 and Chief 27 arrived to find one vehicle off the roadway and engulfed in flames. Montgomery Squad 75 arrived and went in service with a 1-3/4” foam line, while Engine 27 pulled the 1-3/4” water line from the front bumper. Engine 75 was also on scene to supply additional manpower. Southbound Route 309 was closed for approximately 45 minutes while all lanes were blocked for the firefighting efforts. Fire police were able to open one lane around 7:00AM. All units were clear from the roadway around 7:30AM.
