For our weekly training, SFD volunteers reviewed ropes and knots on Tuesday night. We covered a variety of the typical knots used in the fire service and how to use them with our common hand tools. We also reviewed securing a patient in a stokes basket for low and high angle rescue scenarios.
If you're interested in joining our team, or want to learn more about what we do and how we use our equipment to help others, stop by the station on a Tuesday night or get more information here: https://www.sellersvillefd.com/content/recruitment
