Shortly before 4 PM on Sunday, October 10th, Station 27 was dispatched to standby at an accident in the 300 block of Ridge Valley Road in West Rockhill Township. Chief 27 arrived to find one vehicle that had left the roadway, struck a driveway culvert, and returned to the roadway. Once on scene, Engine 27-1 assisted in securing the vehicle, mitigating the oil spill, and cleaning up debris. Traffic 27 and Fire Police Officers responded to shut down the road way at Ridge Road and Forrest Road to maintain a safe incident scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Grand View Hospital for evaluation by Medic 151. All SFD units were available within approximately 40 minutes.
