Tower and Engine Assist Perkasie

Just before midnight Sellersville Volunteers were dispatched with Tower 27 and Engine 27 to assist our neighboring Perkaise Fire Company for the working Dwelling Fire with possible entrapment in the 200 block of W. Street in Perkasie Borough.

Tower 27 arrived with a crew of 5 and assumed the 1st due truck company on side A of the structure. Tower 27’s crew split forcing entry to the primary structure, making entry and began performing a primary search of the 1st and 2nd floors of the 2 1/2 story twin dwelling while the remainder of the crew thru ground ladders to all sides of the structure and positioned the main to the structure.

Chief 27 arrived and assumed the interior operations Chief position.

Engine 27 arrived with a crew of 6 establishing a primary water supply to engine 26 and immediately assisted with fire control to the attached exposure dwelling unit.

Do to the extreme fire conditions and the inability to access areas of the structure do to safety concerns crews were evacuated twice and moved to a defensive attack mode. All searches proved negative and the upper hand was had bringing the fire under control.

Traffic 27 also responded and assisted with traffic control in the area.

Personnel were released and all SFD equipment were placed back in service by 3 am.
