1938 Ford Pumper

January 1, 2024

In 1997, the Sellersville Fire Department had the opportunity to repurchase a 1938 Ford/Hale Pumper, original to the SFD. For many years, it sat in the old 1888 firehouse on the north side of town awaiting a restoration project to revive the apparatus to its' former beauty.

Over the past several months, we have secured donations and additional funding via a campaign to raise money to refurbish our antique pumper. Dunne's Towing was able to assist us with relocating the truck from the building to our station on Main Street. Several volunteers have already started the photo journaling and dismantling process.

On May 19, 2024, we will be hosting an Antique Fire Apparatus Muster at our station on N. Main Street. Our goal is to continue raising funds for this project while spending time with like minded individuals who appreciate the antique apparatus that is part of our history.

To assist with generating funds, we are seeking sponsors for the event. These donations would defray the costs of the muster itself, and help fund the restoration project. A conservative estimate on the expected project cost is $100,000. Our sponsorship levels are listed below, but any donation is always appreciated.
Chief: $1,000
Deputy Chief: $750
Battalion Chief: $250
Captain: $100

Please continue to check our website as more information becomes available regarding registration for the event. Any interest in donations or questions about the event can be directed to chief@sellersvillefd.com
