Just after 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 9th, Engine 27 was dispatched to the northbound lanes of the Sellersville Bypass south of Route 152 for the report of a fully involved vehicle. At the same time, units from Souderton and Telford were dispatched for the same incident through Montgomery County. Chief and Deputy 27 arrived to confirm the report and Engine 27 worked with Rescue 74 from Souderton to extinguish the blaze. Manpower from Utility 27, Engine 74-1, and Squad 75 assisted with various functions. Fire police closed all northbound lanes for approximately a half hour until all apparatus was clear from the scene.

At the request of the tow truck driver, Engine 27 returned to the scene to extinguish two small hot spots before the vehicle was loaded on the flatbed.
