February Review |
| March 1, 2022 | |
| In the month of February, our volunteers were dispatched to 32 emergencies. Our average membership turnout was 8 firefighters per call. Additionally, we hosted three “in house” training sessions covering first aid and CPR, forcible entry, and apparatus and portable equipment inspection and maintenance. Time spent training and maintaining equipment exceeded 150 hours for the month. Two of our chief officers also attended an online seminar to learn more about our emergency reporting platform, and make sure our incidents are documented properly. Our department responded to two vehicle fires, seven vehicle accidents, and one vehicle rescue throughout the month. One of the most notable calls in February was a small airplane crash in Hilltown Township. Total SFD man hours for emergency activities was 139.50. The breakdown for the entire month can be seen below. If you’re interested in joining our team, visit https://www.sellersvillefd.com/content/recruitment for more information.
