Route 309 Auto Extrication

At 10:44 AM on Saturday, February 13th, Engine 27-1 was dispatched to assist Telford Fire Company at an automobile extrication in the southbound lanes of Route 309 in West Rockhill Township. Chief 27 arrived on scene to confirm the report of one car versus tractor trailer, and the car driver was confined in the vehicle. Engine 27-1 arrived on scene and started with vehicle stabilization and prepared for fire suppression if necessary. Montgomery County Squad 75 (Telford) arrived and started removal of the drivers side door and B post for easier patient access. The crew from Engine 27-1 assisted Squad 75 with the removal of door and post. Montgomery County Rescue 74 (Souderton) was on scene, and their manpower assisted with the operation. Fire police units from Telford and Souderton assisted on scene to control traffic. Engine 27-1 and Chief 27 returned to service after the patient was removed from the vehicle.
