At 0150 hours New Years Day morning, Sellersville Fire Department Volunteers were dispatched to assist Montco Medic 345 who was covering Medic 151 (GVH) for a lift assist in the Borough. Deputy 27 arrived on scene to find Police, EMS, and the patient in the basement of the two story middle of the row house. Due to a tight stairwell and floor plan, Deputy 27 requested the FAST board as a stokes basket and backboard would not have worked. Crews from Utility and Tower 27 secured the patient onto the board and up the stairs to the first floor. The crews then assisted EMS with loading the patient from the board to the stretcher. Medic 345 transported the patient to Grandview Hospital's helicopter pad where JeffStat airlifted the patient to a trauma center.
