At 1314 hours, Engine 27 was dispatched as part of a Tanker Task Force assignment to assist Hilltown Fire Company on a house fire that started as a Police stand off with a barricaded subject. Engine 27 arrived on scene and Command directed their manpower up to the scene to assist in fire suppression. Station 27 fire police were also dispatched to assist with traffic and scene control. Crews worked various positions on the fire ground before being released by Command. Utility 27 was called upon to bring submersible pumps to the scene in order to remove water from the basement so the Bomb Squad could fully clear the dwelling. All 27 units were cleared the scene at 1730 hours.
