The department will hold it's annual Ham Dinner on
Sunday March 9th, 2008 from 11AM-5PM

 


RECENT CALLS


TANKER RUNS HOUSE FIRE IN HAYCOCK

1/13/08- Tanker 27 was dispatched @ 15:19 on the Tanker Task Force for a dwelling fire in Haycock Twp. The tanker was available in quarters by 16:16.


ENGINE LANDS MEDIVAC HELICOPTER

1/9/08- Engine 27 was requested at 21:01 to land Jeffstat 2 after a two vehicle accident on Bethlehem Pk. The bird was landed at 21:13 and the engine was ready for the next run at 21:27.


HOUSE FIRE IN PERKASIE

1/08/08- Tactical Box 26-09 was struck at 19:06 for the reported dwelling fire. Caller stated oven had small fire inside. Tower 27 and Engine 27-1 responded back to back but were recalled about 5 minutes later by Batt. 76. Call was held to Engine 26. Both the Tower and Engine were ready at 19:10


BOX ASSIGNMENT AT GVH

1/06/08- Units were dispatched at 22:17 for the report of a hospital on fire. Units from Sellersville and Perkasie responded to find a light smoke condition on the third floor from a heater fire that had been extinguished by hospital personnel. The 3rd floor room was ventilated and the call was held to Tower 27, Engine 27-1, and Tower26. All units were cleared at 22:53.


ALARM AT THE HOSPITAL

1/06/08- The engine and tower were dispatched at 05:03 for a general activation of the alarm system. Units found nothing and the alarm was reset and units were cleared and ready for service at 05:32.


ENGINE AND UTILITY RUN AUTO EXTRICATION

1/06/08- Volunteers were awaken at 03:21 for the reported auto extrication on Forrest Road. Batt. 27-1 onscene with one overturned but no extrication needed. Call was held to the Engine and Utility until the car was removed. Both pieces of apparatus were ready for service at 04:17.


BRUSH FIRE REPORTED ON 309

1/05/08- The department was dispatched at 10:04 for a brush fire on the side of 309 from a passer-by. Field 27, Tanker 27, and the Engine all responded but were recalled as the Chief found nothing.


2ND CALL OF THE YEAR TURNS OUT TO BE VOLUNTEERS FIRST WORKER OF THE YEAR

1/05/08- One call came into communications for the reported house on fire at 03:20. Neighbor reported she could see fire and smoke coming from the neighbors house. Tanker 27 responded along with Engine 26, Tower 26, and Engine 76 on the original assignment. Batt. 76 onscene with a 50X70 working fire in the attic of the house. Engine 27 was later dispatched but was brought into the scene for manpower. The incident was place until control at 04:17. All units were AIQ shortly after 05:00.


UNITS DISPATCHED TO MIDDLE SCHOOL

1/04/08- First call of the year was dispatched at 11:15 for the Tower to assist the Perkasie Volunteers along with Silverdale, Hilltown, and Dublin for the a report of a school on fire. First arriving units found out that it was a sprinkler head that had popped due to an overheating generator. The call was held to Engine 26, Tower26, and Tower 27. Tower was ready for service at 11:59.
