Rescue Box 27-16

At 21:24 hours, Engine 27-1 along with Rescue 26 (Perkasie) and Montgomery County Squad 72 (Tylersport) were dispatched to an accident with reported entrapment.  Upon Battalion 27-1’s arrival (Wagner), no extrication was needed and the call was held to Station 27 apparatus.  Engine 27-1’s  crew secured the vehicle and were available at 21:40 hours.

Car Into Trees on 309 Exit Ramp

Station 27 was dispatched for a Standby with Medic 151 (Grand View) to a single vehicle accident at 13:44 hours. Engine 27-1 arrived shortly after the medic and assisted with patient care.  After the patient was transported, crews secured the vehicle and cleared some downed trees from around the vehicle.  The station was available shortly after 14:00 hours.

Motor Vehicle Accident at Ridge Rd and Bethlehem Pike

June 21 at 12:18 hours, Engine 27-1 to a two car accident at the intersection of Ridge Rd. and Bethlehem Pike.  The crew from Engine 27-1 arrived on scene and assisted Squad 151 (Grand View) with patient care. One person was transported to Grand View Hospital.  The crew also secured all hazards.  The Department was available at 12:48 hours.

Motorcycle Accident on Old Bethlehem Pike

June 17 at 19:00 hours, Station 27 was dispatched for a motorcycle accident on the 2000 block of Old Bethlehem Pike.  Battalion 27-1 (Wagner) arrived on scene and confirmed a motorcycle had struck the rear of a minivan, and requested Medevac be placed on standby.  Engine 27-1 and Medic 151 arrived and began patient care.  Engine 27 was assigned to the landing zone (L.Z.) at Lapps Landscaping, for the helicopter.  Battalion 27-1 moved the L.Z. to Bergey’s Vulcanizing and became the L.Z. officer.   Captain 27 (Rotzell) and the crew from Engine 27-1 remained on scene with the motorcycle and assisted with the cleanup until the tow truck arrived.  All crews were available at 19:59 hours.

Motorcycle Accident on Route 309

At 11:59 hours on Saturday June 5, Engine 27-1 was dispatched to a motorcycle accident.  The accident was on the south bound side of the 309 bypass, south of the Lawn Avenue entrance ramp.  The crew from Engine 27-1 helped to secure the accident scene and removed debris from the lanes of travel.  The driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Grand View Hospital, and the station was available at 13:13 hours.

Fatal Crash in West Rockhill Twp.

June 2 at 00:34 hours, Station 27 and Rescue 26 (Perkasie) were dispatched to the 100 block of Almont Rd. for the report of a one vehicle accident with two people trapped. The initial report from the communication center was that one vehicle had left the 309 bypass and crashed into a wooded area. Battalion 76 (Wedman) and Battalion 27 (McDonald) arrived to find one vehicle partially suspended in a group of trees. Battalion 27 established “Rockhill Command”, and assigned the crew from Engine 27-1 to set up scene lighting and prepare for rescue operations.
