Route 152 MVA

At 0642 hours, Station 27 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with 1 patient possibly ejected and another possibly trapped.  Deputy 27 (Kelly) went on scene and reported negative ejection and entrapment.  Engine 27-1 went on scene and split their crew to secure both vehicles. Crews were on scene for just over a half hour.

Vehicle Fire North Bound 309 Bypass

At approximately 1100 hours, Station 27 was dispatched for a vehicle fire.  As Engine 27-1 and Lieutenant 27 (Lindsay) went responding with a crew of 7, Deputy 27 (Brennan) went on scene with a well off vehicle.  Engine 27-1 pulled past the vehicle and stretched an 1 3/4” handline to knock the fire.

Halloween Roll-Over

At approximately 0700 hours, Station 27 was dispatched for an accident with fire on the north bound side of the 309 bypass at the Lawn Avenue exit.  As Engine 27-1 went responding with a crew of 7, the call was changed from a car fire to an auto extrication and Squirt 18 (Quakertown) and Rescue 26 (Perkasie) were added the call.  Engine 27-1’s crew took the driver side door as Wagon 27’s crew assisted the medics with patient care.

Busy Weekend for Volunteers

At 12:31 hours on 11/27 the box alarm was trasmitted for an odor of smoke in the apartment at 115 N Main Street. Engine Companies 27-1, 27, 59, Montco 72-1 (Tylersport), Tower 26 and Rescue 26 were due on the initial box alarm. Companies found a backfired oil heater and scaled the assignment back to Engines 27-1, 27 and Tower 26.  The second run of the weekend came at 21:23 hours on 11/27 for smoke in the apartment at 206 E Ridge Ave in the Sellersville Heights section. The box alarm was transmitted bringing Engine Companies 27-1, 27, 59, Montco 75-1 (Telford), Truck Companies 27, 26 and Rescue 26 to the scene. Companies found a burning cigarette recepticle and returned all units at 21:36 hours. At 23:32 hours the Tower was alerted to 48 Yarrow Ct (59-3) for a chimney fire. Upon arrival the Tower crew split assisting the interior crews as well as taking care of exterior operations. The Tower was available at 00:22 hours.  At 02:19 hours on 11/28 the Tanker was alerted for an apartment fire at 22:02 Applewood Court in Company 59’s local. The Tanker arrived and staged while units investigated a strong odor of gas in the apartment. All units cleared at 03:10 hours.

Rescue Box 27-16

At 21:24 hours, Engine 27-1 along with Rescue 26 (Perkasie) and Montgomery County Squad 72 (Tylersport) were dispatched to an accident with reported entrapment.  Upon Battalion 27-1’s arrival (Wagner), no extrication was needed and the call was held to Station 27 apparatus.  Engine 27-1’s  crew secured the vehicle and were available at 21:40 hours.

Car Into Trees on 309 Exit Ramp

Station 27 was dispatched for a Standby with Medic 151 (Grand View) to a single vehicle accident at 13:44 hours. Engine 27-1 arrived shortly after the medic and assisted with patient care.  After the patient was transported, crews secured the vehicle and cleared some downed trees from around the vehicle.  The station was available shortly after 14:00 hours.

Fire Alarm at the Sellersville Theater

June 29 at 20:10 hours, Station 27 was dispatched to the Sellersville Theater for a fire alarm.  The crews arrived to find a smoke condition in the theater.  Crews had determined that the smoke was coming from one of the air conditioning units on the roof.  The Department was available at 21:29 hours.

Second Motor Vehicle Accident 

June 21 at 15:59 hours, Engine 27-1 responded to the second two car accident of the day.  The crew from Engine 27-1 arrived on scene, assisting Squad 151 (Grand View) with patient care and securing the hazards.  One patient was transported to Grand View Hospital. The Department was available at 16:36 hours.
