In 1957, a special meeting was called regarding repairs needed to the motor. The department decided it was the better option to replace the entire motor for $500 than to hope the $150 to repair it, worked.

After retirement, this truck was used by Sellersville Public Works for a period of time.

In November 2022, our Department was contacted by Martin Winter from Belgium. Mart currently owns the 1953 GMC and is in the process of restoring the truck. Below are several pictures from Mart. We look forward to seeing the progress in the years to come!
