West Rockhill Kitchen Fire

Just before 10:00 pm, Station 27 and Engine 26 were dispatched for a dwelling fire in the 4800 block of Bethlehem Pike in West Rockhill Township. Initial reports were that the oven was on fire in the kitchen. The crew from Engine 27 arrived to find the exhaust hood over the range on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and the crew from Tower 27 assisted with removing the hood and ventilating throughout the dwelling. Engine 27-1 stoodby at the closest hydrant until the incident was under control. Engine 26 was returned to service shortly after dispatch. Medic 151 treated a patient on scene with a minor burn on their arm.
