SFD volunteers were alerted to assist Medic 151 (Grandview Hospital) and Medic 339 (Souderton) at 3:40 AM Sunday morning. Our services were not needed, and our members returned to the station. As it oftens happens, people stick around after calls to discuss old stories, new ideas, or simply to catch up on how our families have been. Our talks lasted for nearly an hour before Engine 27 was added to an automatic fire alarm in Perkasie Fire Company’s area of East Rockhill Township.
Later in the afternoon, while Perkasie was operating on a brush fire, SFD members were dispatched to respond to a residential fire alarm in Perkasie Boro. After determining the activation was accidental, Engines 27 and 27-1 redirected to the brush fire to assist.
